Remedies for Life
The holiday season is upon us in full force. Although this is ‘supposed’ to be a joyful time of the year, bringing together family and friends, for many of us, holiday expectations and anticipation can also bring a fair amount of stress, and anxiety. According to the American Psychological Association (APA) nearly half of all American women experience heightened stress during the holidays and we know that the men are not far behind. Prolonged periods of stress can be harmful to your health resulting in sleeplessness, overeating (or not eating) and irritability. Many people tend to self-sooth with sugary or salty foods or turn to an alcoholic beverage to counter their stress reaction. Although occasional indulgences are a normal social experience; long term, it is best to find other tools for self care. Here are 5 tips to relieve stress and have a happier holiday season: 1. Breathe Deeply Whenever you feel yourself getting anxious or feeling overwhelmed, stop and take a relaxation break. Focus on your breathing. Breathe in for 5 seconds and breathe out for 6 seconds. Conscious, slow breathing, calms the mind and helps you feel more relaxed. 2. Get Active We all know the importance of being active and getting regular exercise, particularly, during the holiday season. Physical activity not only boosts your fitness and energy levels but can also elevate your mood. Rigorous physical activity, in fact, increases endorphins, which in turn, makes you feel better. 3. Be Generous There is no better time of the year to be generous than the holidays. Consider being generous with your compliments, write holiday cards with special messages to your family and friends, volunteer your time for a worthy cause, or help an elderly neighbor with their errands. Serving others can make us feel more joyful. 4. Learn to Say No Often times during the holidays, we are invited to various gatherings. Whether it’s an office holiday party, a friend’s get together or a cookie exchange, you don’t have to accept every invitation. Learn to say no to those events that aren’t as important to you. This will give you more time to spend on the things that bring you joy. 5. Be Present It’s easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of holiday activities but make sure you tune into the people around you. How often do you get a chance to spend time with the people that matter to you most? Savor the moments and create experiences that your family will remember for years to come. Don’t let the holiday season pass you by and all you remember is everything that you got done. Be present for yourself and those around you. Another solution employed by holistic practioners for over 200 years is using homeopathic remedies to help ease the impact of stress. This holiday season or any time you are feeling overwhelmed, consider using Stress EASE. This all-natural auric (body) spray delivers a sense of peace and calm in times of emotional distress. As anxiety and worry are calmed, focus and clarity become more accessible. By using the self-help tools mentioned above in conjunction with Stress EASE body spray, you may be surprised at your ability to better enjoy the beauty of the holiday season with your family and friends. Wishing you a harmonious holiday season!

Thanksgiving is an all-time favorite holiday for many. It is a time I pause to give thanks for the blessings of good health, my awesome family and friends, and, of course, the great food we enjoy for the holiday. Additionally, I always give thanks for the powerful healing homeopathy has brought to me, my clients and to members of my family. As wonderful as the holiday can be, there can be moments where the experience can migrate from excitement and joy to overload. Even if we love everyone around the table, the personality mixtures can often tax our energy field and feel a bit overwhelming. For those of us who are sensitive to other people’s energy, we can feel exhausted being around so many different personalities. We may feel the need to go into another room to rest and rejuvenate our energy. If you are one of those people who are sensitive to other people’s energy, holiday gatherings may be a perfect time to employ tools such as Healthy BOUNDARIES auric spray to provide additional breathing room. Healthy BOUNDARIES provides a cushion of support for your energy field so that you can remain balanced and secure as you enjoy your holiday gatherings with family and friends. In addition to shielding your energy field, consider using Space CLEAR room spray to clear your home. The spray will provide a positive, clean welcoming energy for your guests. It is perfect to use before the gang arrives. And, just as the name suggests, Space CLEAR is perfect for clearing stagnant energy after everyone goes home. If you are traveling for the holiday, use Space CLEAR in your hotel room to clear any lingering energy vibrations and to create your own personal space. Where ever you are going and whatever you are doing for the holidays, I wish you peace and serenity. It is not often that we get a chance to stop everything we are doing and give thanks for our lives, each other, and the world we live in. I wish you a harmonious and peaceful Thanksgiving. As I watch the neighborhood kids run up and down the street ringing doorbells and chanting trick or treat, I can’t help but smile at the adorable costumes. I see cute angels, beautiful dancers and precious kitty cats. I also see frightening devils and scary vampires, too. Seeing all these children in their makeup and costumes gets me thinking about adults. Who are the angels and the vampires in our lives? More importantly, how do we deal with them? They are not wearing any costume to identify themselves. In fact, most energy vampires or negative energy drainers, come across, at first blush, as incredibly enthusiastic and helpful individuals. Then once we get to know them, a different reality strikes. If you consistently find that your energy is being drained when you are around certain people, you may be dealing with energy vampires. They are sometimes critical, angry, and manipulative or just chronically negative. If you notice a pattern of exhaustion or discomfort after your encounters with these individuals, listen to your intuition and take action. There are many ways to deal with the vampires in our lives including setting firm boundaries, and limiting contact with those who drain you. Many people find mediation calming and reduces the impact of energy drains. If that is not feasible, taking three deep breathes can often achieve comparable results. If those energy drainers cannot be avoided, another simple, natural way to protect yourself from negativity is to use Psychic PROTECT auric spray. Psychic PROTECT provides support to the energy body when dealing with negative energy and drains on the energy field. Even if you can’t turn those vampires into angels, you can create a personal boundary so that your energy remains balanced and vibrant. Wishing you a harmonious life! |
